Body Treatment Class

Think about the way to stand on two feet through exercises

-Have you tried hard to loose weight?
-Suffered from back ache or tight shoulders?
-Do you feel that you are tired all the time?

I used to suffer from bad posture, back pain and thick thighs.
When I was living in New York City as a dancer, I always felt tiredness or some kind of pain in my body. Especially, I felt that a lot when I was just standing and waiting for a train. I didn't feel strong pain when I was dancing, but I felt very uncomfortable when I was just standing still. I have been to a chiropractor, massage, and acupuncture. Those helped me a lot for a short period of time. Nothing really gave me the answer.

One day, I met a teacher who told me to go back to the basic. Basic movement as a human being. Stand on two feet. When I experienced the right way to stand, I was shocked. "Ohh my god. I'm standing!" First experience in my life. I felt the back of my feet are grounding into the floor. Because I had high pride as a dancer, I didn't want to admit that I'm not even able to just stand. However, I was surprised and happy to know the new sensation in my body. Without holding tensions, I could fully relax and be myself. A lot of people think that body and mind are completely separated, but they are actually really connected in very deep level. For example, when the body is tired, your can feel depressed easily. Also, if something shocking things happen in your life, and you feel like your heart got stabbed, your chest gets dented physically too. Each day, our body is in new condition. Old cells of our bodies die and new cells are produced every single day until we die.

Do you have a tendency to ignore how your body feels?
Do you tell your body what to do instead of listening to your body?

In my class, I let students to find their own senses of the bodies individually. Instead of using eyes to copy the movements of what the teacher do, I ask them to keep closing eyes entire class to let them concentrate of feeling and listening to their own bodies.

All exercises and movements are done very slowly in the class. They are all very simple and easy, but you might find it's hard if you try to understand with your head. However, if you just try to feel and listen to your body, you will discover the new world in you.
